Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was tried to be developed formulas for the natural frequencies, displacement and stress for static and dynamic load on the historic stone arch bridges. It was selected thirty historical stone arch bridges, with different geometric features from the East Black Sea Region, in Turkey. The presented thesis consists of four main sections. In the first chapter, it was mentioned about the literature studies on stone arch bridges, and methods used in modeling and also the method used to obtain the formulas. In the second chapter, there were presented natural vibration frequencies obtained from modal analysis of bridges with mode shapes, on the developed finite element models in this study, pulling and pressure stresses which were produced from static and dynamic analysis, and the greatest displacement. In the third chapter, it was revealed that the frequencies depending on geometric dimensions, one each formulas for calculation of displacement and stress. In the fourth chapter, the results obtained from this study and the suggestions that are expected to lead the way future studies were presented. At the end of the study, it has been seen that the proposed formulas give very close results to reality on estimation of frequency, displacement and stress values of bridges.
