The relationship of emotion-intelligence and a research about the effects of emotional intelligence on managers

Main goal of this study is to examine the relationship of emotion ? intelligence, the evolution of this relation, emotional intelligence - as a result of this evolution - and the effects of the emotional intelligence on management and on managers. The adaptiveness of the organizations which have being managed with the dominance of intelligence to the recent evolutions, begins to change the perspective on emotions.The state that emotions restrict the judgement, causes making incorrect decisions and the state that they should be hidden begin to change. Studies show that people who have high IQ, can be insuccessful especially at work. Therefore, emotional intelligence (also known as EQ) began to be examined. Besides, great evolutions existed in organizations. Severe, tough and emotionless management is turning into a management type which considers humanbeing and emotions.In the study, this variation is examined with a historical perspection. Industrial ? revolution, technological improvements and globalization made ?communication, motivation, leadership, emphaty, adaptation and endless development concepts? important for organizations. Because emotional intelligence contains these concepts, relationship of emotion ? intelligence becomes the subject of both emotional intelligence and historical evolution of management. This subject is the theme of the study.In the experimental part, a questionnaire was applied to the managers of service industry organizations in Uşak and the effects of the emotional intelligence on the managers were tried to measured.
