Abstract (EN)
This research explores how emotional labor contributes to burnout and investigates how job satisfaction influences this relationship. The relationships between emotional labor levels, burnout experiences and job satisfaction of İŞKUR employees throughout Turkey (İŞKUR employees in the Eastern Anatolia Region) were analyzed. Burnout is a concept that frequently appears in contemporary times. Employees form an emotional bond with the organizations they work for. As a result of the emotional bond they form, they develop certain expectations, which in turn lead to feelings of burnout. The literature contains numerous studies related to these concepts. However, it has been observed that there is a scarcity of studies on the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between these two concepts. In this context, after the literature review before starting this study, the aim of this study was determined to examine whether it has an effect on the emotional labor levels, burnout and job satisfaction of İŞKUR employees (Eastern Anatolia Region İŞKUR employees). It is aimed to contribute to the relevant literature by taking developmental measures based on the information obtained. The first section of the study includes a literature review. General information about the key concepts related to the study is provided. The second section provides information about the research methodology. This section includes details such as the scales to be used in the research, the sample of the study, and the analyses to be conducted. The third section presents the findings of the research. The findings indicate that emotional labor has a significant impact on burnout and that this effect can be partially mediated by job satisfaction. The research results suggest that increasing job satisfaction may significantly reduce burnout caused by emotional labor.
