Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted on wild mammals between the years of 2015 and 2016 by observing 33 study stations in Düzce Province. The direct and indirect observation methods were used for the field studies during the four seasons and the coordinates of the regions were taken by GPS. Without tracking methods, binocular, video camera, DSLR photograph machine and camera traps were used for direct observations, the footprints, feces, peeling of trees, food residues etc. used for indirect observation methods. By the result of this study sixteen species belong to seven order and ten family, roe (Capreolus capreolus), red deer (Cervus elaphus), otter (Lutra lutra), wolf (Canis lupus), grizzly bear (Ursus arctos), european hare (Lepus europaeus), bent-winged bat (Miniopterus schreibersii), jackal (Canis aureus), wildcat (Felis silvestris), beech marten (Martes foina), badger (Meles meles), squirrel (Sciurus anomalus), hedgehog (Erinaceus concolor), least weasel (Mustela nivalis), wild boar (Sus scrofa) and red fox (Vulpes vulpes) were determined at the 33 observation stations. Camera traps were stayed fifteen days in the 32 stations without the bent-winged bat (M. schreibersii). During these period 1359 data were obtained belong to 132 camera traps and C. aureus was the most diverse species, while the species of M. nivalis was rarely in the province. On the other hand, the population trend and habitat choose of the species distributed in Düzce province was determined by the study.
