A research on E-Vdo application of the Eğirdir Tax Chamber, in the context of E-Government and Vedop Project

The information and communication technologies have played very central role in the transformation process changing the socio-economic structure after the industrial revolution. The socio-political, economic and technological innovations have been witnessed in recent days with the globalization exacerbated the competition in markets. Thus, the instituitonal restructuring of the public and private sector have become inevitable.The developments in information technologies have led the knowledge to its classification within new production factor such as labor and capital. These radical transformations and uncontrollable rising of the knowledge begun to change the new governance of the states.The rapid using of the internet and restructuring of the public administration enforced the dual usage of the state and internet notions together. Thus, the concept of e-government have come to the agenda and the projects of e-government have been materialized.The first chapter of the study focuses on the conceptual analysis of e-government and the e-government model and effectiveness have been elaborated.The second chapter has been allocated for the Vedop Project with its extent and infrastructure, components with e-institution, evolution, its integration process with e-government, as well as its benefits and critiques against this Project.The latest chapter has been concentrated on the implementation of the E-Vdo (Otomation for Electronic Tax Administration) by selecting a sample tax office (Eğirdir Tax Office) as the clarifying factor.
