Abstract (EN)
For centuries Turkestan has attracted many powerful states because of its geopolitical and geostrategic position. Russia, one of these states, has been expanding its borders towards the Turkestan region with the enlargement policy it applied and has been neighboring the region. As a result, he established diplomatic and political relations with the Bukhara Khanate. Russia commissioned many people to better understand the Turkish states that dominate the Turkestan region and to investigate the region economically, socially, and culturally. These are usually those involved in merchants or diplomatic missions. They kept various notes and recorded important information about the Turkestan region and the Bukhara state. Egor Kazimirovich Meiendorf is a member of one of the Russian diplomatic missions visiting the Turkestan region. What they saw in Khanate of Bukhara and Turkestan published in a book in France. The main topic of our work is to get to know Egor Kazimirovich Meiendorf and to evaluate the book written about the region in terms of the Bukhara Khanate.
