Abstract (EN)

The activities proved by scientifical studies especially on the central nervous system and the possibility of negative effects like side effects and tolerance development of the synthetic drugs that are using for treatment makes Lavandula angustifolia Mill. (L. officinalis Chaix) (Lavender) a useful treatment agent in folk medicine. But this conventional usage causes many unwanted effects or not to get the desired effects because of the insufficient or wrong knowledge about the drog and because of not providing the appropriate conditions when harvesting, storing and selling to the customers. In our country the selling of the herbal drogs like Lavandula officinalis are made by from pharmacies and from pharmacies and mostly herbalists. As we know that some tests about their reliability according to European Pharmacopoeia 7.0 are studied on the samples bought from there. Results are supported with datas, tables and photos gathered from laboratory studies which are made for the lavenders reliability. Also many national and international articles and scientifical sources about the scientifically proven activities of Lavender are analysed and a compilation made with the datas gathered from the literature. Especially the activities on the central nervous system components, on the elimination of the complaints in premenstrual syndrom and dysmenorrhea and anti-anxiety avtivities are the ones foreground.
