Abstract (EN)

Social alteration has affected both individuals and societies. Especially after 1980s, competition increased by the effect increase of supply; and quality became more important. People did not content with the formal education which they had. They felt the need for different qualities so concept of personal development occurred. From the aspect of companies, in the competing atmosphere and effort for productivity, the employees' productivity became more important. Companies started to invest in human resources. Social chancing also affected schools. Nowadays human resources management is needed at the schools. In this study; Personal and professional development education is given to fifteen teachers who work in a private school in Nilüfer in Bursa. Teachers and students were interviewed about development of teachers. Surveys were applied to these teachers' students. The effect of training which teachers had was examined on productivity of students by correlation analysis and other techniques. It was understood that teachers who had personal professional education have better communication with students, make better learning atmosphere, contribute the student's development as a model.
