The effect of educators' perception of managerial coaching skills on their satisfaction (A field research)

This research aimed to examine the effect of educators' perception of managerial coaching skills on their satisfaction. The study was carried out in the 2023-2024 academic year with the participation of 325 educators working in private schools at kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and high school levels affiliated to the Ministry of National Education operating in the Tarsus district of Mersin province. SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical packages were used to analyze the data obtained from the participants through the online survey form. The research model was tested by applying path analysis with latent variables. According to the analysis results; It was observed that the effect of openness to development skill, one of the dimensions of managerial coaching skill perception, on employee satisfaction was positive and statistically significant. It has been determined that the dimensions of open communication, team approach, human value and accepting uncertainties do not have a statistically significant effect on employee satisfaction. When the relationships between satisfaction and perceived managerial coaching skills dimensions were examined, it was seen that statistically the highest level relationship was between satisfaction and open communication skills. The research shows that the effect of managerial coaching skills on satisfaction is that educators' perception that their managers are open to development positively affects their satisfaction.
