Abstract (EN)

A country needs to grow to create employment and increase its competitiveness in world trade. While growth is achieved, when situations such as insufficient domestic savings, increase in energy costs, increase in interest rates and the accompanying increase in demand for imports occur, a current account deficit also occurs. Current account deficit is an important macroeconomic problem in developing economies, especially in fragile economies like Türkiye. The energy problem, which is seen as increasing the quantity in the Turkish economy, is an important problem that has been waiting for a solution for a long time. In the Turkish economy, which increase its export revenue, the increase in energy imports creates a serious deficit in the current account deficit. The widespread use of new generation energy to solve this dissolution can be solution to an important reason for the current acount deficit for the Turkish economy. Since Turkey is a country with a dense young population reshaping education opportunities and rasing human capital cabaple of technology intensive production is important in terms of popularizing the design and production of high value-added goods, which is another reason for current account deficits.Türkiye is a fragile economy sensitive to the decisions of Central Banks of strong currencies. For this reason, changes in the world conjuncture affect the Turkish economy more quickly than other countries. This study aims to investigate the growth of the Turkish economy through the current account deficit. Time series variables were used quarterly to cover the periods 2002-Q1/2022-Q4. The effectiveness of the model was tried to be determined by VAR Analysis. Then we prepare VAR Models. Granger causality analysis determines the relationships between independent and independent variables and continues to interpret the analysis results with impulse response analysis and separation of variances. To process the outputs of the analysis results, the presence of unit root was searched in the Matlab-R2024a Program and the appropriate analysis method was determined. In this analysis, relationships were interpreted according to the recorded data.
