The role of the presidential system to provide economical and political stability

As one of the forms of government systems based on the sovereignty of the people, the government forms directly not only the politics but also the economy of the country. In this sense, what the government systems mostly affect the political and economic stability, and especially the importance of the presidential system for the countries in ensuring political and economic stability are discussed in this study. The purpose of this study is to ask questions such as to what extent government changes provide political and economic stability for countries, to what extent the presidential system is important in this sense, and whether it is single-party governments or coalition governments, depending on the structures of governments in Turkey, provide political and economic stability. the corresponding answers were sought. The literature on this subject were evaluated and the divergent opinions were given. Based on these considerations, both political and economic aspects of governments were gathered together and evaluated in terms of stability. First of all, certain concepts related to stability were explained, factors affecting political and economic stability were mentioned and political mechanisms were mentioned. Afterwards, government systems were mentioned and especially the presidential system and the typical presidential model applied in the USA were mentioned. Finally, a general assessment of the effect of economic and political stability on the presidential system, and how effective government systems are in ensuring political and economic stability for Turkey are explained. As a result of the evaluations, it was seen that economic instabilities and economic crises emerged in a period of political instability. It has been observed that, economic stability has been achieved with the establishment of political stability. In addition, it has been observed that the opinion regarding the stabilization of government systems differs between countries.
