Abstract (EN)

Occupational health and safety have a serious importance in the process of management of electrical works and planning of their operations. Occupational health and safety measures include the necessary measures to ensure that employees are protected from electric shock, fire, explosion and other hazards that may arise from the work carried out in the sector. In this study, the work and operations carried out in the Electrical Facility Maintenance and Repair Sector were examined as a result of active field observations and evaluated in terms of occupational health and safety. Fine-Kinney risk assessment method has been used and a sample risk assessment has been made and it has been demonstrated that the dangers can reach serious dimensions in duct-excavation works, pole erection, conductor pulling operations and work with construction machinery. Considering the risks that may arise from the work carried out in the sector, it is emphasised that occupational health and safety measures should be implemented meticulously. In this context, issues such as employee training, risk assessment, use of personal protective equipment, maintenance of electrical systems and emergency action plans were discussed. Keywords: Occupational health and safety, electricity, risk assessment, emergency action plan.
