Abstract (EN)

In recent years, numerous researches have been performed on the use of electrically conductive asphalt pavements to prevent icing on roads. It was known that numerous parameters are effective on the electrical conductivity of asphalt mixtures. The effectiveness of aggregate gradation has not been studied extensively before. In this thesis, three different aggregate gradations and 6.5%, 7%, 7.5%, 8%, 8.5%, 9% bitumen rates of stone mastic asphalt (SMA) mixture samples with 5 mm length and 0.2% by weight Carbon Fiber (CF) specimens were prepared. Electrical resistivity by two electrode method, temperature changes under constant electric voltage, ultrasound transition velocity, Marshall stability-flow values were measured on these specimens and the results were compared. As a result, it was seen that the gradation change had an effect on the electrical conductivity properties of SMA specimens.
