Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, surface roughness, tool wear and cutting forces acting on the cutting tool during cutting were investigated in side-milling of Ti6Al4V test specimens produced by implementing Electron Beam Melting additive manufacturing method and hot rolling method. Five spicemens were produced each by cutting from the plate produced by hot rolling and by using the electron beam melting additive manufacturing method, and the feed per tooth and the axial depth of cut were kept constant in the cutting tests performed to ten spicemens in total at different cutting speeds and with different radial depth of cut values. In cutting tests, spindle speed values of 3000 rpm, 4000 rpm and 4500 rpm and radial depth values of 0,5 mm, 0,75 mm, 1 mm were applied. The axial depth of cut was 6 mm and the feed per tooth was 0,08 mm/tooth. A 4 flute carbide endmill with the diameter of 8 mm and the corner radius of 0,5 mm was used as the cutting tool. The cutting forces acting on the cutting tool during cutting were measured with a dynamometer.
