Abstract (EN)
Millions of microorganisms exist in the world. Some microorganisms have a characteristic to cause illness. Therefore, determining organisms is tremendously important in terms of both and animal health. At the present day, microorganisms are being examined by studies done with microscope. Various microorganisms are known to be releasing some odor. As a result, in this study, it is intended to demonstrate that microorganisms- Candida albicans fungus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomanas aeruginosa bacterium- can be distinguished through the odors they release. In this study, initially, the responses, which QCM sensors in electronic nose react to the odors that microorganism release, are investigated. Subsequently, the classification of Candida albicans fungus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomanas aeruginosa bacterium and the five-day process (after 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 hours) of life of the related microorganisms after they are planted in Petri dishes is examined by using the Principle Component Analysis.
