Abstract (EN)

Energy is a priority issue in the domestic and foreign policies of countries. Countries need dynamic energy policies to meet the increasing energy demand around the world. The rapid depletion of energy resources has brought about a transformation in energy and has increased the interest shown in renewable energy resources in the world. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential of electricity generation from solar energy in Turkey. According to the results obtained in the study, although Turkey has a great potential for electricity generation from solar energy in terms of average sunny days per year and the amount of sun received, it has remained below its potential. As it is an issue with increasing awareness, it is expected that legal studies and incentives for electricity generation from solar energy will increase. Proper use of Industry 4.0 technologies will contribute positively to electricity generation from solar energy in Turkey.
