Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the effects of temporary events that occur in electrical energy systems on automation systems are examined and the precautions to be taken are presented. Temporary events in energy systems are instantaneous events and can often cause serious damage. While these damages sometimes damage devices, sometimes they can also harm living things. For this reason, it is necessary to have a high level of system control and to establish an effective structure against possible damages. The most important system that comes to the fore in this process is the safety of automation systems. The biggest impact of temporary events that may occur in the network is on automation systems. In this thesis, this situation has been examined in detail and solution suggestions have been put forward. As the content of the thesis, the definition of energy is given, and the information given about the energy types such as hydroelectric energy, thermal energy, geothermal energy, wind energy, solar energy and nuclear energy sources. In addition, the circuit elements used in the transmission and distribution of energy were examined. Temporary events affecting these transmission and distribution lines and facilities were investigated. In addition, the effects of temporary events on automation systems are presented. As a field application of the situation, the energy system and automation system in a poultry farm operating in Çorum province were investigated and the precautions to be taken in order not to damage the systems in case of temporary events were presented in detail.
