Development of matte glaze compositions for (monoporosa) wall tile without engobe.

Engobes are clay based, permeable or impermeable coatings applied under the glaze, acting as a primer between the ceramic body and the glaze. The target of this work is the development of glaze compositions which has high opacity and different gloss amount for tiles without engob layer. Thus more lean production can be achieved by one application instead of two applications.produces various recipes using different combinations of clay and certain supplementary products(quartz, feldspar, calcite etc.) to be used for different purposes, and in doing so it has to consider certain phsyical criteria.
