Abstract (EN)

In the present study, first of all, (25) was synthesized from the reaction of 3,4-difluoronitrobenzene with N-phenylpiperazin. Then, the nitro group of this compound (25) was reduced to amine group. The treatment of amine (26) with anis aldehyde and indol-3-carbaldehyde, one by one afforded the corresponding Schiff basis, (27) and (28).The reaction of compound 26 with 4-fluorophenylisothiocyanate led to the formation of (29). Then, this urea derivative produced compounds 30 and 31 which are 1,3-thiazole derivatives, by the reaction with ethyl bromoacetate and 4-chlorophenacyl bromide, one by one.Compound 26 was converted to (34) by the treatment with ethyl bromoacetate, hydrazyne hydrate and 4-fluorophenylisothiocyanate, respectively. The cyclization of compound 34 in basic media produced (35), while the treatment of the same intermediate (36). On the other hand, the cyclocondenzation of 34 with 4-chlorophenacyl bromide yielded (37).The structures of the obtained compounds were confirmed on the basis of spectroscopic methods. The antimicrobial activities were screened by Şengül Alpay Karaoğlu (Rize University Department of Biology).
