Abstract (EN)

One of the biggest problems of manufacturing enterprises is having difficulties in marketing their products. In today's competitive conditions, the most important goal of marketing is to take orders from a customer and to ensure the continuity of the order. When deciding the orders of the products with the requested properties, the customers are interested not only in the price of the products, or in the payment terms, but also interested the delivery date status of the goods. In case of late delivery date, missing the order, hence the customer, may occur. On the other hand, even though promising an early delivery date, over an already fulled-capacity in order not to miss the customer, secures the gain in the short term; not keeping the delivery date promise will cause first the customer dissatisfaction and then customer loss as a long term result. In this study, the decision of the delivery date which is already given by an expert in Federal Electric Yat. ve Tic. A.Ş. a company producing circuit breaker, is intended to be determined by the computer program. In this context, first of all, the decision criteria were determined by working together with the expert, then a software was developed according to these decision criteria. Lastly, the program was run for orders within the period of a t time and the results were recorded, then, after delivery date decisions of the expert, both results were compared and the success rate was determined.
