Abstract (EN)

In this research, the situation of geothermal residential heating system before 2010 (AFJET-1) and after 2010 (AFJET-2) in the borders of Afyonkarahisar is evaluated. In the first phase of the evaluation, geothermal production wells, transmission line, geothermal heat center, urban distribution lines, residential heating system and reinjection system, which are the most important components of geothermal heating system, are investigated. In the second phase of the evaluation, AFJET-1 and AFJET-2 systems are compared in terms of performance, environmental and economic factors. The required information during the evaluation of AFJET-1 is obtained from Afyon Geothermal Tourism and Trade Inc. (AFJET INC.). AFJET-2 is evaluated by observing the components after investigation in place. After the evaluations, it seems that AFJET increased the number of subscribers two times, residential equivalent heating four times while operating expenses were increased two times after modernization in 2010. This situation shows that new heating system is 50% more efficient than the old one in terms of operating income and expenses.
