Abstract (EN)

In the present study, thermal degradation process of tobacco farm waste, tea waste and polycarbonate was examined by means of a thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) under nitrogen atmosphere at different heating rates of 5, 10, 15 and 20 C /min from 25 C to 1000 C. Using TGA data, the kinetic parameters, such as activation energy, pre-exponential factor and reaction order were determined by applying the Coats-Redfern (CR) method for the three samples. Also, the activation energy was calculated using various degradation models including Kissinger, Friedman (FR), Flynn-Wall-Ozawa (FWO) and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS). In this study, by means of Thermogravimetric Analyzer coupled with Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer and Mass Spectrometer (TGA-FTIR-MS), gases evolved during the degradation of the samples were analyzed sensitively and at real time. Furthermore, the main gas products released during the pyrolysis of tobacco farm waste, tea waste and polycarbonate were determined as methane, amonia, water, hydrogen cyanide and formaldehyde, carbondioxide, propanal; carbondioxide, water and methane, carbondioxide, water, methane, benzene, toluene and phenol respectively.
