Abstract (EN)
This thesis is a feminist research that collects the experiences of mothers and fathers who have adopted children and examines this experience with feminist social work analysis. Qualitative interviews are conducted with twelve parents (3 single, 9 married) and seven non-governmental organizations (NGO) representatives from four NGOs. In the literature review section of this research, feminist social work, situation analysis of adoption, adoption in socio-cultural context were examined. In the first part of the thesis, the historical development of feminist social work in the world and in Turkey, adoption in the context of feminist social work, the situation analysis on adoption, adoption within the scope of international and national legislation, the socio-cultural context of adoption is given. In the second part; the method part of the research, in the third part; the findings and in the last part; the conclusions and recommendations are given.
