Health and safety for fiber optic infrastructure works

Construction is a sector that many employees can work in that area. Along with that this sector provides so many values to the country. Being in a position like that brings up the importance of occupational health and safety studies. Comparing with Turkey, European countries are much more developed in this aspect. In this thesis, by providing information about fiber optics history and types how the infrastructure works carried out is explained. Also, the machines used in fiber optic infrastructure works, the necessary education which should be given related with the job done, possible conditions which can be a cause of work accident both specifically and commonly, and the importance of occupational health and safety is being evaluated. Furthermore, comparisons of some European countries and Turkey with respect to their attitude towards occupational health and safety is done.
