Abstract (EN)
Semih Kaplanoğlu makes films in accordance with the minimalist cinema approach. His films have received many national and international awards and have been nominated for an Oscar. In this study, Semih Kaplanoğlu's films Away From Home (2001), Angel's Fall (2005), Yusuf Trilogy; Egg (2007), Milk (2008) and Honey (2010), Grain (2017), and Commitment Aslı (2019) analyzed. The movie posters of the related movies were subjected to semiotic analysis and it was evaluated how much they reflected the movie language. Due to the fact that the director's cinema is close to the minimalist art movement, twenty movie posters intended to complement the film language, based on minimalist design principles, was presented as a redesign proposal for the seven related films.
