Abstract (EN)
Pain is a warning sign of the body and provides important information to assess the patient's condition during the treatment process. For this reason, the most important step in the treatment of pain is first of all to determine the pain value. There are many methods used to assess pain today. Pain assessment helps to monitor the response to treatment. After starting treatment, changes in pain severity and the development of symptoms are regularly evaluated. This follow-up is also extremely important to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and make changes when necessary. In this study, pain assessment criteria and methods used in pain assessment were examined. In addition, the algometer device, which is widely used in the pain assessment process, was examined and experimental studies were carried out on the design of this device, which was imported for use in our country. In the study, algometer devices of different structures were designed experimentally and comparisons were made with each other. It is aimed that this device, which is widely used in the field of health, will also initiate studies for its production in our country.
