Abstract (EN)

It is the aim of this work is to prepare functional polyimides and obtain hydrophilic surface by using functional monomers that is suitable for further processing. In order to obtain functional poliimides activated with the chloromethyl pendant groups. Thus, Kapton formulated polyimide recipe was used and further polyimides chloromethylated with chloromethylation reaction by using SnCl4, CHCl3, paraformaldehyde and trimethylchlorosilane. Dopamine and umbelliferone functional polyimides were prepared and structural changes besides physicochemical properties were rationalized. Surface properties of above mentioned polyimides were analyzed morphologically by means of atomic force microscopy (AFM), and scanning elektron microscopy (SEM) Thermal properties of polyimides were studied with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and structural changes were observed. Since the main subject of this study was to prepare chlorofunctioanal polyimides and to improve physicochemical properties of classical polyimides, all reaction conditions and physicochemical properties have been optimized.
