Abstract (EN)

In this study, Hofmann type M(fum)Ni(CN)4 (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn and Hg) complexes, M(fum)Ni(CN)4.nG (M = Mn, Ni, Zn and Cd; G = Aniline) and M(fum)Ni(CN)4.nG (M = Co, Ni, Cd and Hg; G = 1,4–Dioxane) clathrates, have been prepared firstly among fumaric acid (H2fum), metal(II) salts and K2[Ni(CN)4]. The structures for metal complexes and clathrates have been proposed by using Infrared 4000–400 cm-1, Raman 4000–50 cm-1, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermal analysis techniques. In addition, single crystal X-ray diffraction technique was applied to compound {[Zn2(μ–fum)(NH3)4Ni(μ–CN)2(CN)2].2H2O}n. The spectroscopic results show that the structures of these complexes and clathrates are similar to Hofmann type compounds, and it has been observed that the structures consist of polymeric layers of |M-Ni(CN)4|∞ and the fumarate ion bounded to the metal(II) atom.
