Examination of the Relationships Between Internal Communication Skills and Individual Performances of Personnel Working in the Ministry of Youth andSports

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between internal communication skills and individual performances of the personnel working in the Ministry of Youth and Sports. A total of 400 people working at the Ministry of Youth and Sports participated in the study. Participating individuals from the Ministry of Youth and Sports personnel were selected on a voluntary basis. The ages of the participants vary between 24-48. The obtained data were analyzed using the statistical package program SPSS.23 software and the results were interpreted. In order to gain insight into demographic information and other groups of questions, descriptive statistical methods such as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency and percentage distribution were used. A fit analysis was made on the ordinal data obtained according to the Likert scale, and the reliability analyzes of these scales were made by calculating the Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient. Whether the mean values of in-house communication skills and their sub-dimensions and individual performance show a normal distribution. Skewness-Kurtosis test, in-house communication skills and It was used with the 𝑋 2 (Chi square) test to determine the relationship between sub-dimensions and individual performance values with some demographic variables. The results were evaluated at the 95% confidence interval and the significance level was p<0.05. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that the internal communication skills of the personnel working in the Ministry of Youth and Sports significantly affected the employee performance. A statistically significant difference was found between the groups of internal communication skills and their sub-dimensions according to the participants' gender, age, education level, tenure in the profession, years of working in the current institution, union membership status and job type variables. However, no statistically significant difference was detected between individual performance and other groups according to the marital status variable. All of the sub-dimensions that constitute the internal communication of the individuals participating in the study were found to have a positive significant relationship with their performance.
