Abstract (EN)

Stand Constitution, Increment-Growth Relations and Silvicultural Suggestions of Pure Oriental Spruce Stands in Normal Canopy in Giresun Region This research was done in order to determine the stand constitutions and increment growth relation and suitable silvicultural treatments for pure oriental spruce stands in normal canopy in Giresun region. For this study 21 sample plots without any interference or having the least interference were chosen from pure oriental spruce stands in normal canopy. In research area horizontal and vertical profiles were done. Diameter, height, age, crown qualities and thicness of 10 annual rings were also measured on the sample trees. The relation between diameter and height, and diameter and diameter increment was determined. And also diameter distribution, height distribution and age distribution were obtained. These were used to distinguish stand constitutions. As a result it was obtained that 95 % of pure oriental stands in normal canopy in Giresun is formed of equal veteran constitution and 5 % of it is formed of different veteran constitution. But in both constitutions trees were found as having veteran quality according to trunk quality and can be used as log and firewood product.
