Investigation of the copper reduction antioxidant capacities (CUPRAC) and anti-tyrosinase enzyme activities of some local plants growing in Giresun region

Free radicals are formed with metabolic reactions in organisms or with the external factors which are environmental agents, stress and radiation. Antioxidants blocks the effects of free-radicals by neutralizing them. Thus prevents the human body from the free agents. Tyrosinase is an enzyme which includes copper and uses molecular oxygen to catalyze o-kinon oxidation of monophenols. This enzyme is a key enzyme that has a role at melanin biosynthesis. Melanin is a polyphenol structured biopolimer which gives color to skin and hair. Tyrosinase catalyzes two reaction in melanin synthesis. Most of the dermatologic distortion caused by the excessive secretion of melanin pigment. Inhibition of melanin biosynthesis is achieved by tyrosinase inhibition in particular. Until today, inhibition effects of organic - inorganic compounds and various metal ions analyzed on various enzymes. Add to this, inhibition effects of the extracts of various plants were analyzed. Edible plants are rich in terms of flavonoids, terpenoids, alkaloids and other phenolic compounds. Therefore edible plants may be a safe source to control the enzymes. In recent years, many studies about enzyme inhibitors are published. Hundreds of tirozinas inhibitors, both synthetically made and obtained from natural sources are discovered. This study covers copper reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC) and inhibition effect of trozinas enzyme of some plants which grows in Giresun region.
