Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT The light can be defined as the optical radiation that causes the visual impression to come to the visual phenomenon. In this case, the light source is anything that illuminates the surroundings by radiating light and causes this visualization to occur. Lighting is called light applications designed to allow objects in an environment to be viewed, while lighting objects are in fact the best way to perceive objects and surroundings. Accurate illumination designs can reduce accidents, increase work efficiency, eliminate negative effects on human psychology and physiology, and reduce the energy required for lighting. Nowadays, lighting products have a share of 25% in the consumption of electrical energy, so the development of lighting products that consume less energy and cause less harm to the environment is gaining importance. This increases the need for economical solution focused photometric measurement systems. Photometric measurement systems measure the light rays of the electromagnetic spectrum at wavelengths between 380nm and 780nm wavelengths that the human eye can perceive. The main ones of these measurements are light intensity, light flux, light level and etc. The measuring instruments used in classical photometric measuring systems make measurements on a point-by-point basis. In recent years, various studies have been carried out on surface area based photometric measurement systems with the help of a camera that is more economical. In this thesis, a study is carried out in which the measurement of indoor lighting intensity is performed by using digital image processing techniques instead of traditional measurement methods. For this purpose, in the applications, firstly the setting of the measurements is made, and the measurements are performed by using the traditional methods. Afterwards, the images were taken at different angles from the area by webcam and transferred to the computer environment and lighting intensity measurements were performed on the images with developed image processing software. The results obtained from the traditional measurement method and the method presented in the thesis study are given comparatively and the consistency and applicability of the proposed measurement method is evaluated by the statistical analysis method of t-test. According to the results obtained, it has been observed that the presented method provides feasible results.
