Abstract (EN)

In this study, design and implementation of a smart home have been carried out. Having prepared a prototype house with 120x90x70 cm dimensions; lightening system, heating system, as well as kitchen oven and home security system have been controlled via the remote GSM. In this study, Arduino Mega 2560 R3, Wiznet 5100 ethernet module, HC-06 bluetooth module and various sensors have been used. Microcontroller in Arduino can be programmed easily and exchange data quickly in digital media. Control of the designed smart home has been performed with interface software developed in three different platforms, PC, smart phone and internet. For PC interface, Visual C programming language, as for smart phone App Inventor 2 programming language developed by Google and MIT and for web interface, HTML and AJAX script languages coded with any script editor have been used. Sensors placed at home have been used for controlling room temperature, water temperature in the heating system, gas leakage, fire alarm, level of lightening and home security system. As Arduino database and Android operating system are more economic and flexible than the systems used in previous researches, this study will help the ones who are willing to design a smart home.
