Abstract (EN)

Artistic and cultural phenomena are directly related to what humanity has done in the past and what they plan to do in the future, in other words, the productions they have made in the current period. Therefore, an artist is a person who can produce in parallel with the knowledge gained by the culture he lives in. The product revealed by the artist can be brought to life in proportion to the use of the material that he is an expert in, in his design and mental process. The phonetic, rhythmic, plastic or mixed form of the product revealed is related to the artist's ability and preference to explain himself. The material used and the use of some elements in the intellectual or design transfer point of this material within the framework of the tastes of the past or lived time cause the product to be expressed with names such as "traditional" or "modern". In addition, the perception and behavior processes, which are traditionally named in the fields of culture and art, can be perceived correctly in the modern world, by examining the will of a correct synthesis, including historical processes. Starting from the past periods, the emergence of the traditional data of Anatolia has diversified, enriched and developed as a result of the economic, sociological and political differences in the process. It is seen that the Turks were influenced by both Eastern and Islamic arts due to the lands and beliefs they lived in for centuries, and traditional Turkish arts were formed with the synthesis of these over time. These common formation processes of the terms of Eastern and Islamic arts, XIX. While it lasted until the 19th century, from the middle of this century, movements between East and West traditions that would directly affect each other began. In Turkey, on the other hand, the concept of "modern" has become controversial, and the effects of this concept on art have been examined. The political process that developed as a result of the Westernization movement, the proclamation of the Republic and Atatürk's revolutions brought the Turkish society into a new environment of order and consciousness in terms of cultural and legal aspects. Artists were sent to Western societies, the first museums and academies of fine arts were established, and exhibitions were organized. During this time, Western painting techniques came to the fore in the art environment. In this process, the artists tried to synthesize the rich traditional data of Anatolia with the painting techniques they received from the West and to create new works. After the 1960s and 1970s, especially with postmodernism, with the increase in the number of artists who were educated in the West, the enrichment of individual styles, and the proliferation of artistic activities and galleries, the traditional methods of Turkish painting began to differ in content and meaning. In Turkey, especially in the post-1990 period, with the prominence of postmodernism, it is seen that artists who include traditional methods in their works, even if they have different philosophical and political views. In the study, contemporary visual arts are discussed, especially for Ergin Inan, Murat Palta and Canan, who are the last period artists of our country, who use traditional methods, which contain extremely important data about the history and cultural values of the countries, in their works, mostly miniature illumination and calligraphy. In particular, its contributions to its sustainability in cultural and social aspects were evaluated
