Abstract (EN)

Şer?iye register is a kind of written document consisting of lawsuit papers that moslem judge decides all lawful events abaut people. In Ottoman Empire, moslem rules are valid there fore in the introduction of our studies in order to ease the understanding of the documents some knowlodge about the functions of Ottoman court organization is given. Furter in our studies we try to explain general qualities and historical importance of şer?iye registers. In this research we tried to understand social and economical position of the town Megri, the years between H. 1318?1319?1320 / A.D. 1900?1901?1902 on the basis of Megri Şer?iye sicils whose number 160. First of all by transcribing Megri Şer?iye sicils white the completion of analysis and classification work, the documents which where examined was seen that these documents mostly consist of heritage, guardian, craditor and obadience. In this direction, before starting to work, ın the first section which where arranged after the ıntroduction section in which şer?iye sicils is defined. In the first section, the physical borders of the place when ancient people lived, in the second section the history of the place from ancient times up today. In the 3 rd section family life management structure and the evaluation of tax organization of the town Megri it?s social and economical situation was tried to be described. Morever the general summary of transcription is presented.
