Abstract (EN)

In this research, computer aided gesture based learning material (GBLM), directed at children continuing pre-school education, was developed. In the research, mentioning about the design, development and evaluation process of the developed material, determination of the effects of the material on the motivation of the student and taking the opinions of the teachers was aimed.18 students, at the ages of 5-6, continuing their pre-school education at Ordu Altınfındık Elementary School in 2011-2012 school years, compose the participants of the research. The research was tested with designated case studies conducted in a 6 week period when GBLM was carried out. Before the research, with the aim of determining the problems and needs of pre-school, the questionnaire studies were carried out with teachers. The students were monitored with weekly sessions in order to observe the effect of GBLM on students profoundly. In these processes, all experiences were recorded. Also unstructured and structured negotiations were carried out with the implementation class teacher and pre-school teachers about GBLM. These data obtained from different resources were gathered and interpreted. All studies indicated that GBLM improves student?s motivation and teachers? opinions about GBLM are positive.
