A software application on inventory management and database management in Turkish Air Forces

In this study, Inventory Management in Turkish Air Forces decision making is inspected with its all details. For planning the supply of the materials of inventory managers and for solving the problems faced on distribution of supply, With using relational databases model, a software application is builded in Ms Access database has been written. Literature scanning has conducted in order to evaluate other studies all around the world. The software has written for Inventory Management Command in 5. Air Jet Base in Merzifon and it has been using for testing purposes. First off all, the problems on supply and distribution of printer cartridges has been examined. Some solutions have been proposed and corresponding flow charts has been designed. Every year Inventory Management Command collects the needs for printer cartridges from every command in the base. According to the new demands, some further research has made in order to understand the change in the quantity of the demands through years. Via this research, if necessary, some changes on quantity can be made. After that point, every command gets cartridges according to the plan. By this way, a lot of problems have been avoided through out the year. If wanted, reports on total usage or usage per commands reports can be taken via report module.
