Abstract (EN)

The rapid acceleration in technology has initiated digital transformation (DT) process in many industrial areas. When the literature on DT is examined, it is seen that there are various scientific studies carried out in different industrial areas, and studies in the aviation industry are relatively limited. While these studies focus on a single problem, they provide results regarding a particular technology usage. To the best of our knowledge, there are no integrated approaches that have a broader perspective or address more than one problem. Therefore, in this thesis study, an integrated approach-based roadmap is proposed by focusing on DT, in which strategic points are determined so that companies in the aviation industry can achieve successful DT and benefit from it in the long term. For this purpose, this proposed integrated approach consists of 4 main stages that contribute to both the literature and the aviation industry: Proposition of a DT competency evaluation framework; Proposition of a DT strategy evaluation framework; Proposition of a DT success evaluation framework; Proposition of a digital service quality performance evaluation framework. The analytical dimension of the proposed approach is addressed by the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach that is expanded to Interval-Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy (IVIF) sets. The contribution of this thesis study stems from the proposition of generic models for DT in the aviation industry and their application to real cases. Another contribution is the adaptation of IVIF MCDM methods to the aviation industry based on the proposed models for the first time.
