Abstract (EN)

Safe and effective aircraft separation processes hold great significance for air traffic services. In this study, a new approach for aircraft conflict detection and resolution is demonstrated. In order to estimate the probability of aircraft collision, the current positions of aircraft and their trajectories are required to be known. The deterministic approach is used for the estimation of the positions of the aircrafts in the study. This approach is based on the assumption that the trajectories between the aircrafts are already known. The resolution algorithm is given according to the relative altitudes, relative ranges, altitudes, heading angles, minimum separation and velocity between the aircrafts and the resolution algorithm can be seen on the horizontal or vertical axis. Through the resolution algorithms, without any change of the velocity of the aircrafts, the heading angles and flight path angles of the aircrafts are altered with the aim of maintaining the minimum separation between the two aircrafts. This proposed algorithm is tested via MATLAB with realistic conflict scenarios as simulation. As a result of the resolution algorithm given, no other probability of conflict is detected.
