Abstract (EN)
In the modern world nearly 10.000 airplanes could share the sky at the same moment. Shortage of the required and qualified airline crew became an undeniable truth in the unstoppablely booming aviation industry and economy. Many airline companies stopped the flight operations just because of the shortage of the qualified personnel within the last years. It is clear that airline pilots located at the heart of the airline operations and selection/assessment of the airline pilots changed dynamically through the developments of the incredible automation technology. Becoming an airline pilot is not only means the guiding an airplane but also the using the all available sources in all meaning with a trained crew. There are a wide variety of technical skills that pilots need but to use effectively the required technically skills; airline pilots need to have some psychological, behavioral and emotional based skills as well. In this point of view, these skills that are related with psychology and delegation are crucially important to achieve safe flight operations. This study examines the required non-technical skills for currently flying airline pilots/future candidate pilots and offers particular suggestions with different angles.
