Abstract (EN)

Nanotechnological material, which is considered the technology of our age, is a new material. Although the use of nanotechnology materials was common in the field of industry before, the use of nano materials is increasing scientifically and technologically, both in architectural fields and in interiors. Nanotechnological materials have the ability to be self-cleaning or easy to clean, In this context, the production of self-repairing, self-enlightening, self-cleaning materials has started to be made with technology. Nanomaterials are safer than traditional methods, save time in terms of labor, and are also sustainable. Since nanomaterials are lighter and more functional, their use on ceilings, walls, floors and furniture surfaces in the interiors of nursing homes where many elderly people live is important both in terms of improving maintenance costs and in terms of health as they are easy to clean. The aim of this study is to examine nanotechnological materials, which are accepted as the technology of our age, through the example of nursing homes, to integrate nano materials into nursing homes, to provide ease of use to elderly people, and to examine the materials used as a pioneer in newly made nursing home designs, and to evaluate the nursing homes in Gaziantep in the context of Nano materials.
