Ibn Hamza el-Huseynî and his work el-Beyân ve't-Ta'rîf

Knowing the reasons of arrival and narration of hadiths is important for understanding these hadiths. The most remarkable work written on this topic is el-Beyân and 't-Ta'rîf of Ibrahim b. Mohamad who is known as Ibn Hamza. The goal of our study is to introduce Ibn Hamza and his work, el-Beyân. Our study includes two sections. The title of the first section is "Ibn Hamza and Causes of Hadîth". This section includes an investigation of the life, hodjas, students and works of Ibn Hamza, convepts related to causes of hadiths and information on scholars who have written books on esbâbı vurûdi'l-hadith. The second section, titled "A Study of el-Beyân", includes the study of the work in several respects. We first introduced the book with its general features and presented information on various prints of the book. Again in this section, we analyzed classification style of el-Beyân, identified its resources and studied how Ibn Hamza used these resources. We also studied the evaluations and explanations on the hadiths that the author gave place in his book.
