Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to determine corn cultivars which will be grown for silage in Iğdır during the 2013 vegetation season. In there search, C 955, Sakarya F1, Dako 626, Cadiz, Borja, Progen 1610, Pasha, 71 May 69, 70 May 89 were used as plant materials. The experimental design was a Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. Seeds were sown in plots, 5 m long, with 70 cm between rows. Plant spacing within the rows was 15 cm. 10 kg P2O5 and 16 kg N per decare were calculated as fertilizer rates and applied to each plot. All of the phosphorus fertilizer was applied at sowing while nitrogen fertilizer was splitted, half applied at planting and half when the plants were 40-50 cm. As a result of studies, especially in terms of forage yield C955, Pasha, Dako 626, Cadiz, 71 May 69 varieties can be recommended because of the high yields obtained were identified as varieties.
