Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to examine the language development of school-age children with bilingual ASD. In line with this general purpose, it is aimed to compare the language development of monolingual and bilingual children with ASD and monolingual and bilingual TDD children. Participants were formed as 4 groups. The sample group consists of 60 participants in total, with 15 participants in each group. The research was carried out with the relational research model, one of the quantitative research methods. Research data were collected using the TODİL test. As a result of the analyzes, it was seen that the children with monolingual typical development scored higher on all subtests than the children with bilingual typical development than the monolingual and bilingual children with autism spectrum disorder. It was observed that children with typical bilingual development also scored higher than those with monolingual and bilingual autism spectrum disorders. However, no difference was observed between the children with monolingual autism spectrum disorder and those with bilingual autism spectrum disorder in any of the subtests of listening, organizing, speaking grammar, semantics, and oral language in the TODİL Test.
