Abstract (EN)

Today, the amount of spatial data produced by users on the web is increasing rapidly day by day. This transform spatial data on the web into an important source of information especially for the development of spatial applications. Particularly with the open data policy, the spread and success of crowdsourced initiatives has prompted spatial data producer institutions and organizations to evaluate the possibilities of using crowdsourced geographic information in data collection. In this context, national mapping agencies either use open web resources to update their databases or develop mobile and web applications to collect data with a crowdsourced approach. From this point of view, POI data determined as part of The General Directorate of Mapping applications were downloaded and evaluated from OpenStreetMap, Wikimapia and GoogleMaps map services. To ensure usability of POI data in Semantic Web applications, semantic definitions of POI data should be created. In order to create semantic definitions of POI data, the ontologies to be used have been determined to evaluating the existing POI ontologies and the HGM-POI ontology was developed. POI data was associated with ontologies using Karma software and published as linked data. Publishing POI data as linked data makes it discoverable on the web by other relevant data sources. POI data published as linked data have been visualized using Sextant which be a linked data visualization tool.
