Abstract (EN)

The Mongol ruler Mengü Han sent his brother Hülâgû Khan to the west in 651/1254, and Hülâgû Khan founded the Ilkhanate State after his political successes. Ilkhanians, who still have a new political identity, were greatly influenced by the previous states in terms of organizational structure. Especially the remnants of the state organization see these operators that they have been greatly influenced by the organizational structures and periods of the Turks, in political, social and economic relations since ancient times. One of these institutions is undoubtedly the Atabeglik institution, which has existed since the time of the Great Seljuk State. The trainings given by the atabegs lead to the raising of the prince like a ruler. The prince, who is likely to take the throne, was sent to Khorasan, the second reigning center of the period, under the leadership of an atabeg, so that he could gain experience in state administration, and the younger princes were under the influence of atabegs from time to time. When examined in this framework, the thesis aims to examine the Ilkhanate period, which did not have an atabeglik institution in the first period and then institutionalized this identity by including the trainers in an institution. In this context, the thesis will provide information about the personalities responsible for the education of the Ilkhanid princes, especially Hulagu Khan.
