The measurement and evaluation levels of teachers teachy Turkish course in 4th, 6th and 8th classes in primary school

With this research, it is aimed to introduce whether there is a distinctionaccording to the levels of sufficiency of the teachers who attended Primary SchoolsTurkish Lessons with the class they attend, the faculty they graduated, gender, branch,seniority whether they attended the course and variables of school type.In 2003-2004 Education Term, a descriptive field research was done byapplying a performance test, formed of 29 questions prepared by the researcher, to 150teachers who attend the Turkish Lessons of the Primary School 4 , 6 and 8 classes inAfyon and analyzing the questions that the teachers asked in exams.It can not be stated a distiction between the sufficiency of measurement andevaluation and the sufficiency of applying knowledge of teachers who attend TurkishLessons of 4 , 6 and 8 classes according to the class variable.In the sufficiency of measurement evaluation, a situation in favor of the teacherswho graduated from the Faculty of Education is stated. According to the sufficiency ofapplying their knowledge, a distinction among them cannot be stated.When the teachers levels of sufficiency of measurement and evaluation areexamined according to the gender, a distinction between the male and female teachers isnot stated. A distinction among them according to the sufficiency of applying theirknowledge is not stated.When the teachers levels of sufficiency of measurement and evaluation areexamined according to the branches, a situation in favor of the Turkish teachers isstated.When the teachers levels of sufficiency of measurement and evaluation areexamined according to their seniority, a situation in favor of the teachers who has 4-10and 11-15 seniority is stated. The sufficiencies of applying knowledge of theteachers who work in state schools are at the medium level.As a result, it can be bring forward that the Turkish teachers do not have enoughinformation about the topics related with the measurement, and evaluation, and theirlevel of sufficiency is low at the application of the topics that they have information. Itcan be stated that the teachers have difficulties on transferring their knowledge to theapplication.
