Communication problems between managers and teachers in primary schools (Example of Diyarbakır city)

The communication problems between school authorities and teachers prevent fulfilling the purpose of school and causes many problems by having bad effects on cooperation problems. The aim of this survey is to explain the communication gap between school authorities and teachers. The communication gap scale was enhanced by the researcher to determine the communication gap between school authorities and teachers. This data gathering process was applied on 143 authorities and 258 teachers selected randomly in the provincial centre of Diyarbakır. Data derived from survey was analysed by task, gender, branch, professional record, length of service of directorship and school kind. In Analysing data, were used t-test , one way variance analysis, Scheffe and LSD tests. After the research; it was seen that the point of view of school authorities and teachers statistically infered significantly variable discrepancy and this discrepancy worked in favour of school authorities and it was established that there is no significantly discrepancy on gender, branch, length of service of directorship and school kind. Teachers expressed that school authorities don't make enough empathy, they don't use body language effectively, they don't act friendly and sincerely, they don't invite criticism, they don't say their feelings and opinions, they vindicate themselves and they refuse to accept their mistakes. On the other hand, school authorities told that teachers don't make enough empathy, they don't invite criticism, they don't accept their mistakes, they explain their feelings and thoughts indirectly, they usually vindicate themselves and they run away from the subject being talked. For the purposes reached; school authorities and teachers should use body language effectively in communication, they should avoid to vindicate themselves, they should be open to criticism, they should accept their mistakes when they commit them, they should struggle to avoid running away from the subject and finally they should behave sincerely, sympathetically through the communication.
