Examination of the relationship between the disciplined mind characteristics of the fourth grade students and their entrepreneurship tendencies (Afyonkarahisar sampling)

In the study, it was aimed to reveal the relationship between the disciplined mind characteristics of primary school fourth grade students and their entrepreneurial tendencies and to determine which one is the predictor. In addition, the relationship between the disciplined mind characteristics and entrepreneurship tendencies of primary school fourth grade students in terms of various variables (gender, parental education level, parental profession, reading time, type of magazine read, TV program watched, computer games) was investigated. With this study, it will be determined whether there is a relationship between the disciplined mind characteristics of primary school fourth grade students and their entrepreneurial tendencies. With these aspects, it is thought that the research will contribute to the literature as an original study. The relational screening model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research.. The sample of the research consists of 576 primary school fourth grade students selected by simple random sampling in the 2022-2023 academic year in public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the central district of Afyonkarahisar. Personal Information Form, "Disciplined Mind Scale" and "Entrepreneurship Tendency Inventory" were used as data collection tools. The data obtained from the research were analyzed with the statistical package program in the computer environment according to the sub-problems. One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Kruskall-Wallis test, independent sample t-test, simple and partial correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, a positive and significant relationship was found between the disciplined mind characteristics of primary school fourth grade students and their entrepreneurial tendencies. A positive and significant relationship was found between the dimensions and factors of both scales. A positive and significant relationship was found between the Disciplined Mind Scale and Entrepreneurial Tendency Inventory according to gender, type of magazine read, TV program watched, computer games played, duration of reading, mother's graduation status, father's graduation status, mother's occupation and father's occupation.
