Abstract (EN)

This study aims to determine the effect of sustainable STEAM ımplementations in primary school science course on students' sustainable environmental awareness and STEAM attitudes. The study group consists of fourth-grade students attending a public elementary school in Akşehir district, Konya province, during the 2023-2024 academic year. An appropriate sampling method was used for the study sample. In the study, a pretest-posttest control group model was used within the scope of a quasi-experimental design, one of the quantitative research methods. The "Sustainable Environmental Awareness Scale" and the "STEAM Attitude Scale for Elementary School Students" were used as data collection tools in the study. The Mann-Whitney U-Test and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test were used in the analysis of the data. The study concluded that teaching science lessons using sustainable STEAM applications contributes positively to students' sustainable environmental awareness and positively influences their attitudes toward STEAM.
